History
Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 153 (“District”) was duly created by special act of the legislature, Senate Bill 2064, 84th Session of the Texas Legislature, Regular Session, codified as Chapter 7954, Texas Special District Local Laws Code. The District operates under Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, Article XVI, Section 59 and Article III, Section 52 of the Texas Constitution. The District lies wholly within Montgomery County, Texas, north of the Woodlands, in Montgomery, Texas.
